StormwateRx, a provider of industrial stormwater treatment and filtration systems, announced the introduction of AquiPlus, a polishing add-on to its Aquip stormwater filtration system.

AquiPlus provides enhanced pollutant removal for a number of challenging stormwater treatment applications, including removal of dissolved metals to the parts per billion range, reduction of water turbidity, and elimination of pathogenic microorganisms such as E. coli. Due to its high level of stormwater pollutant removal, the AquiPlus system is ideal for industries where higher concentrations of specific industrial pollutants are unavoidable or in areas where stormwater quality standards require high-quality effluent.

AquiPlus is installed as a modular upgrade to the StormwateRx Aquip media filtration system for industrial stormwater applications. Aquip is a passive, adsorptive filtration system available in three performance levels, each specifically designed for the reduction of stormwater pollutants such as oils, suspended solids, heavy metals (including dissolved metals), organics, and nutrients. AquiPlus provides an added measure of pollutant removal, or polishing, to the Aquip system effluent. It does not use chemicals and has no moving parts other than a pump, so it is inherently safe and simple to operate. AquiPlus integrates with the Aquip filtration system for a space-saving and simplified system upgrade. Aquip and AquiPlus produce water quality that is suitable in many cases for water reuse applications, reducing the demand on municipal water supplies. Aquip may be upgraded with AquiPlus at any time.
