Webb recently acquired the Stemco Trifecta pre-adjusted hub program and now is introducing the UltraSet as its replacement pre-assembled hub for on-highway truck and trailer, and off-highway/severe-duty truck and trailer applications.
UltraSet hubs will be available from the Webb aftermarket business unit for replacement demand on the following schedule:
- Equipment transfer from Stemco to Webb completed by the end of February
- Installation, setup, and runoff by mid-March
- Webb aftermarket business unit will begin taking orders April 1
- Webb aftermarket business unit to ship product to customers tentatively by mid-April
UltraSet will be a complete pre-adjusted hub assembly ready to install with a simple torque-down procedure and requiring no additional bearing adjustment, the company said in a news release. Specify the Webb UltraSet hubs when choosing wheel-end components for new equipment or when purchasing replacement components from a preferred aftermarket supplier.
