Grand Opening marks promising start for Tremcar in Edmonton

Dec. 23, 2015

It was with great anticipation that Jacques and Daniel Tremblay, owners of Tremcar Inc welcomed more than 100 guests to the new Tremcar West service facility inauguration in early November in Edmonton AB, Canada. The whole Tremcar West team and some employees from the head office, located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu PQ, were there in support to the Grand Opening event.

Darren Williams, vice-president executive, and John Sadoway, general manager of the Edmonton facility, said they were extremely satisfied with the enthusiastic response in attendance they received from customers.

The Edmonton city council was represented by Ed Gibbons. He offered a recognition plate signed by the city council and the mayor of Edmonton wrote a letter to commemorate the event.

Although the Western provinces are going through economic uncertainties with the petroleum prices being low, the Tremblays are positive the energy sector will bounce back. “This is nothing new under the sun and we’ve seen this in the past,” said Jacques Tremblay. “It remains that tank trailers are still hauling crude oil today and the transporters will always need maintenance and repair. We are confident they will fill our new 22 bay facility.”

“Closer to better serve you” is the motto the Tremblays want their customers to remember.

Tremcar Inc has moved its Sherwood Park activities to Aurum Energy Park at 1750 Aurum Rd, Edmonton to help keep road-going tankers on the move. The facility expanded three times the size to keep a bigger inventory of parts and give better service.

“We have a great staff but there was only so much we could do,” Sadoway said. “With the original three-bay facility, Tremcar West had to turn down work because we were at full capacity. Now with the $12 million (Canadian) investment the new facility tripled in size therefore making it possible to accommodate customer demands.

“We want a service facility in Edmonton to service what we sell. We want to be closer to our clients and optimize service repair, parts sales and certifications of our tanks. Tremcar is approved to safety-certify everything it builds and repairs.

“Our clients depend on us for service and we want to be there for them. We want our clients to know we’re serious about our products and we’re here to stay. We also want to facilitate tank leasing, after sale services, tank sales and financing.”
