Gates petroleum transfer hoses are designed for flexibility, easy of handling, and cover abrasion resistance.

Longhorn hose is recommended for commercial gasoline, diesel fuel, oil, and other petroleum products. It is ideal for oilfield service truck use. The hose is provided with a smooth cover for less abrasion resistance, or with a corrugated cover for increased flexibility. Maverick hose will handle a variety of petroleum products for tank truck, storage truck transfer, and oilfield service truck use. Its corrugated cover reduces the force needed to bend the hose in tight-fitting applications.

Steer hose is designed for petroleum discharge applications. It does not require a supporting helix and therefore is flexible and lightweight. Brahma hose provides maximum abrasion resistance without sacrificing bend radius when transferring petroleum products in tank truck and storage tank applications.

The hoses have neoprene, nitrile, or polyethylene tubes and covers. These compounds are rated good to excellent for resistance to abrasion, weather/ozone, gas permeation, petroleum oils, and high and low temperatures.
