Emco Wheaton, in collaboration with Hi-G-Tek of Maryland, has reached agreement to supply a range of wireless RFID (radio frequency identification) sealed delivery systems for petroleum tanker trucks and transports.

The equipment complies with all relevant international safety standards and industry practice codes, including API, NTTC, TTMA, NFPA, ADR, and CEN.

Using proven RFID technology, Emco Wheaton has launched a wireless “Sealed Cargo System” (SCS) providing an accurate way to monitor individual compartment valves and manhole covers, resulting in real time tracking from terminal to delivery point.

Key elements of the system include:

  • Real-time monitoring of the apertures on the tank truck

  • Real-time alerts of events

  • GPS tracking

  • Fleet management and back-office interface

  • Simple installation

  • Can be installed on existing road tankers
