With a focus on the food and beverage industry, Continental has introduced the Legacy line of industrial hose to the North American market and distributors attending the National Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution (NAHAD) conference.

Included in the Legacy line are seven product hoses and a water-saving nozzle that will complement the current portfolio of ContiTech NAFTA division that is part of global technology company Continental. “This is an extension of our growth plans,” said Randy Kish, manager, distributor marketing for Continental’s industrial hose & hydraulics business, “And these products, along with our existing lines, will give our distributors and their customers a more complete offering of food and beverage hoses.”

The Legacy line hoses are Aquapal, for potable water applications; Purple Snake, a brewery hose; Collector, for dairy processing; Conti Chem Superior FEP, for most chemicals; DAMPF Trix 6000, a steam hose; Laptopal, for food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics; Unitrix 60 and 80, resistant to oil, UV, grease and chemicals; And the Dinga water saving nozzle.

In addition to the Legacy line introduction, Continental also used the NAHAD forum to remind its distributors and the market of its expanding support of the growing requirements of the food and beverage industry. “We already have had success with our current offerings,” said Kish.

In the industrial hose area, those products include water hose, beverage transfer, Microban food hose, and, in hydraulics, they include the recently announced Constant Pressure hydraulic hoses as well as crimpers, fittings, and constantly upgraded abrasion resistant cover technology.

“The food and beverage industry is a very popular and growing market,” said Kish. “With the addition of the Legacy line coupled with our ever-improving North American lines, we believe we are poised to meet and exceed any fluid systems needs well into the future.”
