Brenner Tank Inc, Fond du Lac WI, has introduced a new DOT407 cargo tank that utilizes duplex stainless steels (Lean Duplex), which substantially reduce the total cost of the new product.

John Cannon, Brenner vice-president, sales and marketing, said the family of duplex stainless steels generally has more chromium but less nickel than type 316L steel, which makes Lean Duplex less expensive.

In addition, Lean Duplex has significantly higher tensile and yield strengths, increased pitting resistance, and an improved ability to sustain temperature changes.

Brenner will display the new cargo tanks at its Sixth Annual Expo June 13 at the Fond du Lac headquarters. The cargo tanks will be available for ordering in the 2007 fourth quarter. For more information, click here for the Brenner Web site.
