Zonar and TMW Systems have released a new integration providing maintenance facilities real-time pre- and post-trip inspection results and remote vehicle diagnostics within TMT Fleet Maintenance software. TMT software from TMW accesses Zonar data to identify and prioritize repairs, pre-order parts, schedule service, and automate work order processes.
This new integration provides a seamless process from data collection to service repair. Data fueling the integration stems from two of Zonar’s systems:
•Electronic Vehicle Inspection Report (EVIR) system verifies pre- and post-trip inspections—EVIR complies with all US DOT-mandated pre-and post-trip vehicle inspection regulations, as well as OSHA and MSHA equipment inspection requirements. EVIR is easy to use, identifies defects faster and more reliably, speeds vehicle repairs, and reduces on-road breakdowns. Data from the electronic inspections provides instant reporting and alerting of noted defects.
•V2J High-Definition GPS & Vehicle Diagnostics System provides next-generation GPS capabilities combined with real-time delivery of vehicle condition and performance data, in one simple-to-install device.
This source of real-time vehicle data allows fleet managers to remotely diagnose possible vehicle maintenance problems and schedule service accordingly. Fleet managers can expedite service by creating work orders, prioritizing repairs, scheduling technician time, and ordering parts before a vehicle arrives for service.
