Vopak opens fourth Singapore terminal

Royal Vopak, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, has opened a fourth terminal in Singapore with 370,000 cubic meters (2.4-million barrels) of storage space.

Royal Vopak, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, has opened a fourth terminal in Singapore with 370,000 cubic meters (2.4-million barrels) of storage space.

The Banyan terminal will meet the need for storage facilities in the region for both oil and chemical products.

Facilities comprise 340,000 cubic meters (2.14-million barrels) of oil storage capacity in 16 tanks and 30,000 cubic meters (188,694 barrels) of chemical storage capacity in 10 tanks.

The two jetties at the facility are capable of berthing up to 120,000 deadweight tonnage (dwt) vessels.
