Truck-Lite's Model 15 white license lamp has been awarded United States patent #5,934,798 covering all LED license lamp applications. Fabricated with hard-wired leads terminated with adapter connectors, Model 15 incandescent lamps can be retrofitted using the existing incandescent plug.
The Model 15 LED offers several different-style connectors, including PL-10 adapters, molded bullet/receptacle, PE 12010973, PE 12015792, and PE 12010973. The Model 15 kits include high-impact polycarbonate black or gray mounting bracket featuring snap-fit mount for quick and easy installation or replacement. An optional mounting gasket improves the seal between lamp and body.
Model 15 measures 2½" long × 1¼" wide × 1½" deep and fits all existing Model 15 license mounting brackets. Manufactured from high-impact polycarbonate, the lamp is protected internally by sealing all electrical components in epoxy, which also helps soften impact of shock and vibration. The lens optics distributes light beams evenly across the lens. Available in a 12-volt version that draws .05 amp and a 24-volt version that draws .03 amp, the lamp meets SAE J587 and European ECE Regulation 4.
