Trimac Transportation Services Limited Partnership, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, has completed the purchase of The Jeffbrett Group Partnership, a cement hauler primarily on behalf of St Lawrence Cement in Southern Ontario, Canada, according to Trimac information.
Jeffbrett operates a fleet of approximately 50 tractors and 65 trailers with annual revenues in its last completed fiscal year of approximately $10 million ($8 million US).
The October 3 Jeffbrett acquisition follows the Trimac December 2005 purchase of the energy transportation division of Superior Propane, also based in Ontario. "The seasonality of this business, with activity levels peaking in the summer months, will provide operating synergies for our recently acquired eastern Canadian propane transportation business which is more active in the winter months,” Terry Owen, Trimac president and chief executive officer, said in a company news release.
