Jacksonville FL-based Transflo Terminal Services Inc plans to open a network of bulk chemical transloading terminals with Union Pacific Railroad (UP), based in Omaha NE, to extend service to non-rail-served customers.

Four UP terminals will be operated by Transflo. They include terminals in Portland OR, Santa Fe Springs CA, Henderson NV, and Rifle CO. Plans are to expand the transload service throughout the Union Pacific rail network.

In 2002, Transflo, which currently operates an 81-terminal chemicals and bulk products network in the eastern United States, handled more than 30,000 chemical loads, along with other bulk products, according to company information.
