TMW Suite is the new name of the fleet management software system that is marketed by TMW Systems Inc, Cleveland, Ohio. The package previously was known as PowerSuite and is TMW’s flagship software product.
The name change was announced during TMW’s annual user group meeting, held November 12-14 in Cleveland. “We made the name change after trying unsuccessfully for the past six years to obtain the trademark rights to the PowerSuite name,” said Tom Weisz, TMW Systems president. “Most of our customers refer to our product as the TMW system, anyway.”
Besides the name change, TMW announced a number of enhancements that will be found in Release 2002. Rate calculations have been fine-tuned. The section on driver background checks was tightened to provide better and more complete information.
Commodity identification has been made more precise, providing greater detail for hazardous materials bills of lading and such. This is especially important for tank truck fleets that use TMW Suite.
