D Mike Pennington has been promoted to senior director — global marketing communications for ArvinMeritor. He previously served as director of marketing communications — Americas.
SDC International Inc has named Philip Huber vice-president of the company. He will operate out of his New York City office. Most recently, he was senior vice-president and managing director of LM Capital, a Palm Beach FL investment banking and municipal finance firm.
Eaton Corp has appointed George T Nguyen vice-president/general manager of the Heavy Duty Transmission Division, and Kenneth F Davis vice-president/general manager of the Clutch Division. Nguyen joins Eaton from Honeywell International Inc, where he most recently served as vice-president and general manager of the Aerospace Hardware Products Group. He replaces James E Sweetnam, who has been elected Eaton senior vice-president and group executive for Truck Components. Davis, a 15-year sales and marketing veteran of Eaton, replaces DeWayne Egly, who has left Eaton to pursue other career interests.

Allison Transmission Division of General Motors has appointed Kenneth Michel chief information officer. Before joining Allison Transmission, Michel was information technology infrastructure and operations director for General Motors' Powertrain Group.
L W “Barney” Barnhart has joined Plastics Logistics Group LLC as senior consultant and director — supplier practice. Most recently, he served as manager of transportation pricing and fleet operations at Occidental Chemical Corp in Dallas TX. Plastics Logistics Group has opened its first regional office in Memphis TN. Barnhart will head this office and base his operations there.
