Paul L Vikner, executive vice-president-sales and marketing for Mack Trucks Inc, has become president and chief executive officer. Vikner succeeds Michel Gigou, who will become president and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA). Both Mack and VTNA are part of Volvo Global Trucks, producer of heavy-duty trucks and related components.

Michael Popa, formerly operations manager at Marine Pollution Control (MPC), has been promoted to vice-president of operations. Besides his responsibilities at MPC, he also serves as manager for Region Nine (Great Lakes) of the Marine Response Alliance LLC.

Propane Resources of Mission KS has named Bob Davis to serve as a marketing representative in Florida and other areas of the Southeast. Davis is a 20-year veteran of the retail propane industry.

The Caterpillar Truck Engine Division has appointed Sarah J Anderson general manager, succeeding William D Mayo, who has been promoted to a position in the Track Type Tractor Division. Anderson previously served two years as general manager of the Caterpillar Service Technology Group. The Truck Engine Division has named Steve Brown field operations manager, Gary Blood OEM sales manager, and John Zimmerman product support manager. Most recently, Brown was manager of the Caterpillar Truck Engine Product Support Division. Blood previously was Northeast Region distribution manager, and Zimmerman served in the Parts and Service Support Division as manager of the Service Information Division.

James C Orchard, member of the board of management of ZF Friedrichshafen AG and responsible for all operations within North and South America, has left the company to pursue other interests. Dr Siegried Goll, chief executive officer of ZF, will take over all North American operations until a successor has been named. Wolfgang Vogel, member of the board of management and responsible for ZF's commercial and special vehicle transmissions division, will take over responsibility for South American operations.
