Heil Trailer International has promoted Kevin Tumlin to product manager for defense-related products and activities. Al Kesley joins HTI as a corporate quality management consultant responsible for the planning and execution of the Quality Management System (QMS) continuous improvement initiative.

Bill Fautch is the new director of operations at Hendrickson Truck Suspension Systems of Woodridge IL and is responsible for manufacturing operations at the truck suspension systems plants in Kendallville IN and Lebanon KY. Paul Schouwstra succeeds him as plant general manager for Hendrickson Spring operations in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. A two-year veteran of Hendrickson, Schouwstra served as manufacturing manager for the past year. Jon Jeffries has been named Hendrickson's director of trailer OEM sales and will work out of Indianapolis IN. A nine-year veteran of the firm, he has held several positions including senior trailer account manager. Pat Brandt has been hired as trailer account manager and will be based in Kalamazoo MI. He joined the Hendrickson sales group from Dana Corp, where he was business development manager.

Melissa Kellogg has been named by Freightliner LLC as the new director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks. Joining the company in 1998, she most recently served as the manager of market planning and analysis.

Dave McInnis has joined SAF-Holland USA Sales as OEM account manager-trailer and will be based in Davidson NC. He comes to the company from Stemco, where he worked as a business development manager-heavy-duty.

Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC has named Richard Tanhauser human resources manager for its new wheel-end manufacturing facility in Bowling Green KY, and Scott Herndon is the new manufacturing engineering manager. Tanhauser, who has been HR manager at the Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems manufacturing facility in Frankfort KY the past six years, will maintain his HR duties at Frankfort until the facility shuts down in late 2007. Herndon served nearly six years as plant industrial engineer with Perdue Farms in Monterey TN.
