ArvinMeritor Inc has announced that Bill Hunt is resigning as vice-chairman and president of the company. Larry Yost, chairman and chief executive officer, will assume Hunt's operating responsibilities. Hunt plans to form a venture capital company to be based in Indianapolis IN, concentrating on investment opportunities in automotive and nonautomotive areas. Diane Stelfox has been appointed vice-president and controller at ArvinMeritor. She rejoined the organization after a brief absence before which she served as ArvinMeritor's vice-president-corporate development. Before the ArvinMeritor merger, she was vice-president and controller of Meritor Automotive.

Brenner Tank has promoted Joseph E Collien from sales manager to director of sales. Collien replaces Keven Crawford, who has left the company.

Kenworth Truck Co has appointed Dave Clarke general sales manager. He most recently served as assistant general manager with responsibility for operations, sales administration, and systems at Paccar Parts. Kenworth also has named Rick Drollinger customer service manager. He most recently served as section manager for cab/hoods/sleeper in production engineering. The company has named John Sheldon used-truck sales manager. Sheldon has worked in various marketing and sales positions at Kenworth since 1986.

Mack Trucks Inc has named Francois Dullaert senior vice-president-manufacturing. He succeeds Denis Leblond, who was named senior vice-president-powertrain. Dullaert has been with Mack's parent company, AB Volvo, since 1971. Mark T McLaughlin has been promoted to senior vice-president-human resources and administration at Mack. He served most recently as vice-president-human resources and administration.

Alex Bernasconi has been named general manager for Freightliner Corp's western United States sales region. He most recently served as director-business class and vocational sales for Freightliner Trucks. Jim Looysen has been named to succeed Bernasconi in this position. Looysen joined Freightliner in 1997 as a vocational sales manager focused on agricultural markets.

Volvo Trucks North America Inc has promoted Susan Alt to vice-president of marketing. Most recently, she served as vice-president of e-business and business development and will retain that position. Keith Brandis, formerly vice-president of marketing, has been promoted to lead the product planning initiatives for Volvo Trucks North America in Volvo's global planning organization. Gene Parker has been promoted to vice-president of sales for the Southeast Region. He was formerly national sales manager for Volvo Power. David Plaster has been promoted to vice-president of sales for the Northeast Region. He was previously vice-president of vocational sales for Volvo Trucks.
