Detroit Diesel Corp (DDC) has appointed John Galbraith chief quality officer and Glenn Lysinger to the newly created position of chief compliance officer.

Detroit Diesel Corp (DDC) has appointed John Galbraith chief quality officer and Glenn Lysinger to the newly created position of chief compliance officer. Galbraith joined DDC in May 2004 as director of warranty improvement. Lysinger most recently served as chief quality officer.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corp has appointed Robert E McDowell president and chief executive officer of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc (MFTA). Most recently executive vice-president and chief operating officer, he replaces Isao Toda, who will return to Japan to become president of Chiba Mitsubishi Fuso.

John Hinesley, ArvinMeritor's Western Area director — North American field operations for commercial vehicle systems, has been named president of the national board of directors of SkillsUSA, whose members support developing a skilled workforce through public career and technical education.

Consolidated Metco Inc (ConMet) has appointed Michael Aherne vice-president of operations. He returns to ConMet after spending the past three years as managing director of ASF-Keystone Europe.

Matt Ruth, previously TMW Systems' director of client services, has been promoted to vice-president of professional services. Keith Mader has been promoted from director to vice-president of development services. Senior implementation specialist Reed Dallman has been elevated to manager of client services. Shelli Weisz, formerly director of implementation services, has assumed the newly created post of vice-president — business development, Europe.

Robert “Bob” Voss has joined Watson & Chalin as the new trailer OEM sales manager responsible for sales in the United States. He comes from Voss Associates Inc, a manufacturer's representative agency he owned.

Randall Nord has been appointed president and chief executive officer for Horton Holding Inc and all its subsidiary companies. Hugh K Schilling, who founded Horton in 1951, has stepped down as CEO to enter partial retirement. He will continue to serve as chairman of the board for the company and its subsidiaries. Nord had been president and chief operating officer of Horton Holding since 1999.
