Heil Trailer International has named Joe Calonge chief engineer for global accounts and special projects. He served the past 12 years as chief engineer

Heil Trailer International has named Joe Calonge chief engineer for global accounts and special projects. He served the past 12 years as chief engineer at the Heil flagship plant in Athens TN. Based in Lyon, France, Giles Cazenave will be Heil's chief engineer — global technical resource. Cazenave has been the chief engineer for Heil Trailer International — Europe. HTI has added David Anderson, Greg Brannon, and Kenneth White to its Customer Service Department. Anderson brings 18 years of tank trailer engineering and project management knowledge as the company's western United States and international technical service manager. Brannon comes to Heil with three years of sales and customer service experience as assistant regional manager at Shaw Industries. He takes over as the western US and international account manager, replacing Sam Cooper. Cooper has been promoted to manager — aftermarket e-commerce. White has four years of customer service and operations experience with the Department of Human Services and US Xpress/CW Johnson Xpress; he is the eastern US and Mexico account manager.

The Jack Olsta Co has promoted John Olsta Jr to president and Taylor Craigen to vice-president. Both Olsta and Craigen are graduates of Texas A&M University, joined the company in 1998 and 1999, respectively.

John R Schaaf has been named senior vice-president of operations for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc (MFTA). He was formerly regional vice-president of the company's western region. Schaaf takes over for Robert E McDowell, who was recently promoted to president and chief executive officer of MFTA.

International Truck and Engine Corp announced that G David Gerrard is the new president, chief executive officer, and dealer principal of the Chicago International Trucks dealership. With more than 20 years of experience in the commercial truck and school bus industries, Gerrard replaces Mark Johnson, who served as CEO for the past two years.

First Fleet Corp has appointed Alexander Popov vice-president — fleet services. Before joining First Fleet, he was vice-president — logistics for Waste Management Inc in Houston TX.

Duane Blakely has been promoted to national fleet accounts manager for Holland USA, a subsidiary of The Holland Group Inc. Since May 2004 he has been account manager — Governmental Sales and Airport Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

Consolidated Metco Inc (ConMet) has promoted Michael Hurley and Michael Harman to vice-president and Michael Miga to program development manager. Hurley spent the past three years as an account executive with ConMet in Kirkland WA. Harman served most recently as director of OEM sales at company headquarters in Portland OR. Miga previously was senior program manager.

Arrow Truck Sales Inc has hired Cory Relling as its director of international sales. Relling previously served as an international sales manager for Honeywell International, covering Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Russia, CIS nations, and the Pacific Rim.

Tru-Cost System LLC has appointed Troy Conner director of technical sales. Based in Columbus OH, he will be responsible for all sales to motor carrier fleets throughout the northeastern United States. Conner was most recently president of C & C Agency Inc in Columbus.
