The board of directors of Dana Corp has named Michael J Burns chief executive officer, president, and a director of the company effective March 1, 2003.

The board of directors of Dana Corp has named Michael J Burns chief executive officer, president, and a director of the company effective March 1, 2003. Burns, who had been president of General Motors Europe since 1998, succeeds the late Joe Magliochetti, who died Sept 22, 2003. Glen Hiner, who has served as acting chairman of the Dana board since September 2003, will continue in this role. Bill Carroll, who has served as acting president and chief operating officer since September, will continue in these positions until March 1, when he will retire from Dana.

John E Millsap of Mount Vernon MO has been named vice-president of Ridewell Corp. He has been with Ridewell for nine years and served as the south central regional sales manager for the past eight.

Brenner Tank LLC has appointed Yolanda Cazares regional sales manager for its Southwest territory which includes Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. She also will provide sales coverage throughout Central and South America. Cazares comes to Brenner from EXSIF Worldwide Inc of Houston TX, where she was a marketing representative responsible for new account development and business growth within the ISO tank-leasing sector.

Grote Industries has named Eric Morris to the newly created post of president and chief operating officer. He has been executive vice-president and head of corporate sales and marketing for the past three years. William D “Bill” Grote III will become chairman and chief executive officer.

Leo Walters has been named dry bulk product manager with Sure Seal/Knappco. He spent the past nine-plus years with Heil Trailer International, most recently as both a product manager and regional sales manager.

Civacon/Knappco has named Frank Stemporzewski product manager/electronics for new product development. He has been with Civacon/Knappco since May 2002 and has more than 20 years of engineering, marketing, and sales experience in the cargo tank industry.

Steve Mance has been appointed vice-president and general manager — charging business and information technology of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, a member of the Knorr-Bremse group. He previously was vice-president and general manager of the components group at Hendrickson International in Woodridge IL. Bendix has named Kishor Pendse vice-president and general manager of wheel end and business processes. He most recently served as vice-president and general manager — charging business team.

Ted Smith, founder of TSE Brakes Inc, has been named the firm's chairman of the board, a newly created position. Greg Smith has been promoted to president of TSE from his previous role as vice-president of operations. Rod Richardson has been named vice-president of sales/business development and will be based at the new national sales headquarters in Hayneville AL. He formerly was corporate chief operating officer of the Reliance Trailer Group in Cotati CA and Spokane WA. Dennis Gillespie is TSE's new director of sales for OEM/OES groups and also will be based in Hayneville. He most recently was national accounts manager for MGM Brakes. Charles “Charlie” Anderson has been named director of sales — national fleet/aftermarket for TSE national fleet programs and major aftermarket accounts. He previously was national fleet manager for Haldex.

FleetPride Inc has appointed Melinda Riley to the new position of marketing manager. She joins FleetPride from Franchise Concepts Inc, where she was director of marketing.

Webb Wheel Products Inc has hired Thomas Robertson as vice-president/controller. He is relocating from Wisconsin, where he most recently served as vice-president of finance and business unit controller for ABB Automation Drives and Motors, a division of ABB Inc.

Lori Narveson Schein has joined Scopelitis, Garvin, Light & Hanson as an attorney in the law firm's Indianapolis IN office. Her practice will include worker compensation defense. The Zionsville IN resident earned her law degree at Indiana University School of Law — Indianapolis.
