Hans-Christer Holgersson will become president of Scania Latin America (SLA) effective April 1, 2002. He will also become senior vice-president and member of Scania Group Management. Mats Gunnarsson, managing director of Scania Luxembourg, will succeed Holgersson as head of Scania's commercial operations in Argentina and managing director of Scania Argentina. Anders Nielsen, head of Scania Cabs, will become SLA technical director effective Aug 1, 2002. Arne Carlsson, acting SLA president, will resume his position as technical director until Nielsen succeeds him. Carlsson then will act as senior advisor to the SLA Executive Council until his retirement in December 2002.

Michael Carney has been named vice-president and general manager of the Gardner Denver blower division in Quincy IL. He previously was employed as chief operations officer of Woods Equipment Co and vice-president of its construction business.

Roper Industries has appointed Brian Jellison president, chief executive officer, and member of the board of directors. Derrick N Key will remain the company's chairman. Jellison joins Roper from Ingersoll-Rand, where he served as executive vice-president.

ArvinMeritor Inc has appointed Debra Shumar vice-president — continuous improvement and quality. She previously was vice-president — quality.

Vicky Black has been promoted to general manager of Dana Corp's Commercial Vehicle Service Parts Division. Her most recent assignment was general manager for Dana's Spicer Heavy Systems Assembly Division. She succeeds the retiring Len Newblom, former vice-president and general manager of the Commercial Vehicle Service Parts Division.

Kenworth Truck Co has promoted Victor Ross to division controller and John Tobin to assistant division controller at its Kirkland WA headquarters. Ross most recently was Kenworth assistant division controller, and Tobin previously served as plant controller for Paccar's Peterbilt manufacturing facility in Madison TN.

Dan Quinn has joined InTank Inc as executive vice-president of sales and marketing. Previously, he led the business-to-business marketplace service line for the Global Energy Unit at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.

Robert W Sitzwohl has been named vice-president and general manager — commercial vehicle wheels for Alcoa Wheel and Forged Products (AWFP), a business unit of Alcoa Inc. Previously, he served as general manager of Alcoa Wheel Products Europe.

KBi/Kold-Ban International Ltd has named Chris De Guerre as North American sales manager. Previously, De Guerre was retained as a consultant for the Canadian market.
