Dixon Bayco offers its new 5200 SFI sight flow indicator as a more reliable alternative to the standard plastic doughnut-type used behind API adapter

Dixon Bayco offers its new 5200 SFI sight flow indicator as a more reliable alternative to the standard plastic doughnut-type used behind API adapter valves on petroleum cargo tanks. This new design uses a metal frame with mounting flange to absorb the bolting force and protect the clear acrylic sight glass tube. The 5200 SFI features a 1¾'-thick housing so it is a drop in replacement for commonly used clear plastic sight glasses. This new sight flow indicator is a proven design based on Bayco's 6200 series elbow design. The 5200 SFI is available in 3" and 4" TTMA sizes.

The Bayco 5200 SFI improves service life by transferring flange bolt forces to the aluminum frame that supports the acrylic tube. Stress cracking is less of a problem since the acrylic tube is free of these forces. Replacement costs are low as the frame is reusable and the clear tube is easily replaced.
