Schneider National Inc is introducing a new driver pay package that will take effect Feb 1, 2004. This pay package will include increases in mileage and accessorial pay for Schneider company drivers and owner-operators.

Pay changes are consistent with Schneider's commitment to retain and recruit the best drivers and owner operators. The average annual pay increase for Schneider company drivers is between $1,500 and $2,500 per year for solo drivers and between $3,500 and $4,500 per year for team drivers, depending on experience levels. Solo owner-operators will receive an increase in annual compensation of $2,500 to $3,500, while team owner operators will receive $3,500 to $4,500 more annually. Drivers also will benefit from accessorial, or non-driving, pay increases.

Schneider regularly reviews its compensation and benefits package for drivers. Changes and enhancements also have been made to the drivers' benefits plan. The company, which has more than 15,000 drivers and owner-operators serving North America, plans to add another 1,000 drivers and owner-operators in 2004.
