The URA Series, a rupture disk that can be used in liquid or gas systems and functions at very high or low burst ratings, is now provided by Zook USA.

Suitable for up to 95% of typical fluid system applications, the URA can be used in place of several different types of rupture disks, allowing users to reduce costs by minimizing stocking needs. URA disks range in size from 1" to 8" and are offered in 316 stainless steel, hastelloy, monel, inconel, and nickel. A model with optional TFE lining is available for more corrosion protection.

The URA's reverse-acting design, which results in system pressure being applied to tile convex side of the dome, enhances the unit's performance in systems with frequent cycling needs. Unlike most reverse acting disks, the URA Series has a scoreless design for greater durability. When actuated, the disk will not fragment.

Disk features include three-dimensional flow arrows and a locating notch that ensures proper orientation within the system. Maintenance personnel can assemble the disk and the holder before installation.

The URA Series is ASME-certified and is ideal for use in a range of fluid systems. For more information, contact Zook, PO Box 419, Chagrin Falls OH 44022.
