On-road diesel price continue plunge

The average price of diesel across the nation continued its free fall last week, leveling off at $2.595, down almost 12 cents per gallon from the week before, according to information from the Department of Energy.

The average price of diesel across the nation continued its free fall last week, leveling off at $2.595, down almost 12 cents per gallon from the week before, according to information from the Department of Energy.

The price has dropped almost 40 cents so far in September and is down almost 50 cents per gallon for the high this year of $3.065 per gallon, which topped off the week of August 14. In addition, last week's price is 20 cents less than it was for the same time last year.
