A new hydraulic tester featuring reverse-flow capability up to 50 gpm and working pressure to 6,000 psi has been released by Webster Instruments. The new RFIK series has been designed for safe in-line testing of mobile or industrial hydraulic circuits were reverse-flow conditions may occur. The reverse-flow feature allows quick circuit checks by letting the machine be fully cycled during troubleshooting and prevents cylinder lock-up and possible pressure intensification.

Housed in a steel case with removable cover, the compact and lightweight test kit is mechanical, requiring no batteries to measure flow, pressure, and temperature in United States and metric units. A built-in loading valve with the Interpass internal safety disc system provides safe, smooth and progressive pressure loading of a hydraulic circuit while protecting against external loss of oil.

The RFIK comes in two sizes, 32 and 50 gpm. Flow rate is displayed on a large, easy-to-read 2.5" dial that imparts excellent rate of change indication and accuracy of better than 4% FSD. Both units equipped with a 6,000-psi liquid-filled pressure gauge and a built-in thermometer for temperature readings up to 180° F.
