Regional Enterprises garners Norfalco award

Regional Enterprises Inc (Mid-Atlantic), Hopewell VA, has won the 2006 Level One Motor Carrier Performance Award from Norfalco LLC

Regional Enterprises Inc (Mid-Atlantic), Hopewell VA, has won the 2006 Level One Motor Carrier Performance Award from Norfalco LLC (a division of Xstrata) for the second year in a row for the carrier's safety leadership and professional service.

“What an honor it is to have won an award from an industry leader that puts safety and support to service providers at the forefront of its mission,” says Gary Farrar, vice-president of Regional Enterprises. In commenting on the award, Farrar gave credit to the company's leadership team of Dan Matthews, vice-president, operations; Anthony Vincer, terminal manager; and James Cummings, safety manager. “These individuals and all servicing the account take all the credit for such a safe and comprehensive operation” said Farrar. “The acknowledgments of our high quality operation, such as this award, lead many firms to seek distribution alternatives with Regional.”

The carrier received the award in 2005 and again in 2006 for recognition of its service in sulfuric acid transportation and transloading services. Regional Enterprises is a 35-year old corporation that provides liquid bulk storage, transloading, and bulk transportation services to leading chemical and petroleum producers and distributors. The carrier specializes in distribution solutions through experience and use of truck, rail, and marine resources.
