These compact mixers provide a taper-to-taper metal tank shutoff system that ensures the shaft is positively clamped in the shutoff position while the seal is being replaced or refurbished. This systems also incorporates a safety check. Mechanical seals are sleeve-mounted for flexibility and ease of maintenance, and seal change does not require gearbox removal. Both fixed- and swivel angle mixer versions are available. Options include steam quenching for fluids that tend to crystallize or solidify at the seal faces.
