Plains All American Pipeline LP announced that its subsidiary, Plains Marketing Canada LP, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Canadian trucking assets of Flint Hills Resources Ltd for an undisclosed amount. The transaction is expected to close by the end of October, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

“This acquisition expands Plains Marketing Canada LP's crude oil marketing footprint in western Canada, and the assets are complementary to our existing crude oil trucking business, which is currently one of the largest unrefined products fleets in Canada,” said W David Duckett, president of Plains Marketing Canada LP. The trucking assets consist of a fleet of more than 50 crude oil and condensate trailers that operate in key crude oil producing areas in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
