Two drivers for Calgary, Canada-based Trimac Co have been named to the 2003-04 Ontario (Canada) Trucking Association (OTA) Road Knights Team.
Receiving the honor are Cecil Ramsbottom, Bulk Systems of Thunder Bay, Ontario; and Glen Shirton, Municipal Tank Lines of Thorold. They were cited for having first-class driving records, exceptional communications skills, and a strong desire to share information about the trucking industry.
The two bulk truck drivers are among 12 other drivers who were named.
Over the next two years, the Road Knights in Canada will spread a positive message about the trucking industry, present road sharing tips to the motoring public, and represent the trucking industry at community events, business club meetings, driver education classes, grade schools, truck driving schools, and to the media.
