IMTEK introduces its Online MSDS Management Solution, which provides the ability to manage the system independently and bulk-upload hundreds of documents in minutes from anywhere in a secure environment.

The Online MSDS Management Solution is a hosted service. It does not require any specialized software installation, new hardware, or IT resources. All future improvements are automatically available at no cost to users. This online system is always available 24/7/365 globally via an Internet connection and an Internet Explorer browser.

Start-up is simple, and the site can be used within hours of subscribing. This system will allow employees to reliably access required MSDSs globally and archive obsolete MSDSs for 30-plus years.

Users have a choice of conventional Basic Search capability that allows searches of all fields simultaneously or specific fields, or the Advance Search feature.

When search results are displayed, options include viewing, printing, saving, e-mailing, and faxing the MSDSs. You can also print HMIS and NPFA labels without use of pre-printed label stock. Those with administrative rights can also edit MSDS info; load, transfer, and copy MSDSs; and delete them — all at the click of a mouse!

Permissions-based, password-protected technology gives total control to manage multiple sites, locations, and departments in a way that will protect proprietary information.

Products and documents can be added individually or in bulk. Products can also be easily classified as private or public and archived when desired. Documents can also be loaded to a private or public library for sharing.

The system also has expanded capabilities to track inventory, VOC, and HAPs information by company, location, or department on a global basis.

A standard 16-section GHS MSDS format can be rapidly created with a company's logo and saved as a PDF, HTML, or Word document.

Another standard feature is the ability to bulk-download hundreds of MSDSs to a computer from the Online MSDS Management server and create CDs to be used for emergency response personnel, MSDS access in case of power outages, and customer distribution.
