OMB to review electronic on-board proposal

The Department of Transportation is asking the Office of Management and Budget to review the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) proposed rulemaking notice for electronic on-board recorders, according to the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA).

The Department of Transportation is asking the Office of Management and Budget to review the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) proposed rulemaking notice for electronic on-board recorders, according to the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA).

The notice, slated to appear in the Federal Register sometime in early November, also is expected to address the use of electronic-on-board-recorders for enforcing hours-of-service compliance, TCA said.
