Oilmen's Equipment Corp, the parent company of Oilmen's Truck Tanks, recently celebrated its 60th anniversary with an open house at its corporate headquarters in Spartanburg SC. Oilmen's invited customers, vendors, and community members to join its employees for a southern-style barbecue lunch and tour of its 80,000-square-foot facility.

Attendees were greeted at the parts counter and paired with long-time employees who gave tours of the three main companies (OEC Fluid Handling, OEC Petroleum Systems, and Oilmen's Truck Tanks) on the way to the vendor exhibit area. OEC Fluid Handling featured its shop on the tour and had several base-mounted pumps on-site as well as diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) bulk storage tanks on display in the parking lot.

OEC Petroleum Systems displayed pictures of recently completed commercial and retail fueling sites. Oilmen's Truck Tanks had units in various stages of the manufacturing process, positioned from start to finish, giving guests an in-depth look at how a truck tank is assembled.

Lunch was served in the recently completed 6,000-sq-ft expansion. Attendees met representatives from Balcrank, Blackmer, Betts, Civacon, DAB Leader Pumps, Dieghan Equipment, Dixon Valve, Emco Wheaton, Flux Pumps, GoodYear, Hannay, Husky, Jefferson Valve, Liquid Controls, Micro-Matic, MP Pumps, Muncie Power, and OPW. Parked outside were the latest chassis from Peterbilt, Freightliner, Kenworth, and Western Star.

Guests were given the opportunity to be photographed in a restored 1920s mule-drawn oil wagon. The oil wagon, previously a fixture at many state and industry trade shows, had been retired several years ago after it was damaged in an off-site fire. Piedmont Truck Paint Service, another division of Oilmen's, meticulously restored the unit for this special event.
