The Marathon Petroleum Co (MPC) Transport Operations group held its fourth annual Fleet Safety & Performance Banquet in Findlay OH recently.

Gold Level awards go to large carriers that deliver 100 million gallons or more, and the Silver Level award goes to carriers that deliver less than 100 million gallons a year.”

Award categories and recipients for 2005 are:

  • Station Blends — Gold Level, MPC OH West Region; Silver Level, Eagle Transport

  • Environmental Stewardship — Gold Level, MPC OH West Region; Silver Level, Lewis Transport

  • Fleet Image — Gold Level, MPC Southeast Region; Silver Level, Crystal Flash

  • Administrative Oversight — Gold Level, Klemm Tank Lines; Silver Level, Manito Transit

  • Safety/Operational Oversight — Gold Level, MPC MI East Region; Silver Level, Wayne Transport

  • Customer Service — Gold Level, MPC MI West Region; Silver Level, Bay Transportation

  • Overflow Carrier — Gold Level, The McKinley Group; Silver Level, Kane Transport

MPC Fleet Analysis & Carrier Relations analysts also met with carriers before the awards banquet to discuss individual 2005 safety and performance results, including survey feedback by MPC and Speedway SuperAmerica LLC representatives in contact with carriers throughout the year.
