With cargo theft in the United States exceeding $10 billion per year, Magtec Products Inc's new M5K gives customers control over fleets in order to protect assets, customer cargo, drivers, and reputations.

When M5K is installed and activated, the truck is controlled by an onboard keypad requiring driver authentication before starting and moving the vehicle. M5K also offers Unattended Idle Protect (UIP), and when interfaced with over-the-air fleet management, it also provides remote driver code change, tamper notification to dispatch, and Acceleration Control Technology (ACT).

M5K lets a company have control over theft prevention and remotely restrict operation of the vehicle. Working in conjunction with over-the-air communications providers, the system can be managed from a dispatch center.
