Labelmaster, Chicago IL, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and as part of the celebration the company's new 2007 Transportation Solutions mini-catalog contains an offer for a free Matchbox semi-truck with qualifying orders.

The offer runs through March 16, 2007. The mini-catalog is a preview of the full-line 2007 Spring Transport Source that will be available in early March.

"Although we have greatly expanded our product offerings over our 40 years in business, we have always focused on being the regulation and compliance experts," Dwight Curtis, Labelmaster president, stated in a news release. "We've built our company's reputation on the fact that our customers can trust us for the latest and most complete information on regulatory issues. Our company continues to change and grow as the needs of our market and customers evolve."

Labelmaster's products include labels, forms, placards, placarding systems, transportation products, packaging, spill control, shipping supplies, material handling, signs, books, publications, and software. The company product offerings also have expanded into facility management and workplace safety.

The company points out that the year of the company's inception corresponds with the year that Congress authorized the Department of Transportation (DOT) to enact the first federal regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials. By the 1970s, any business that shipped hazardous materials was required to package it in a specified way, and to identify the contents, both on the package and on the truck or railcar carrying it. Labelmaster developed a hazardous waste label, as it focused efforts on producing products in compliance with strict, new government specifications. In the 1990's, Labelmaster was an innovator in electronic publishing and regulatory compliance software.

"We have expanded our shipping and facilities management product line by 5,000 new products," stated Jeanne Zmich, vice-president, research and product development. "Additionally, we are committed to providing workplace safety products and solutions. This product line has grown to include 15,000 products to address OSHA safety compliance issues."
