Oil Purification Systems, developer and manufacturer of the OPS-1 onboard oil refiner system, announced that The Kenan Advantage Group is outfitting its fleet with the OPS-1 system, beginning with installation on all new 2006 vehicles. The OPS-1 system will significantly extend vehicle oil change intervals, enabling Kenan to reduce its oil-related costs by approximately 60 percent.

Kenan chose the OPS-1 system after evaluating vehicles in its Canton OH and Tampa FL locations. It performed oil analyses on four vehicles after 25,000 mile intervals. In all cases, oil samples came back “clean“ at each interval. When the lab results showed that the vehicles still did not need oil changes at 50,000 miles, the company quickly made the decision to roll out the product on the newest vehicles in the fleet. Kenan has begun an aggressive program to outfit its fleet of 2,000 trucks with OPS-1 units. For the first phase of implementation, the company is installing the OPS-1 system on its new 2006 vehicles at the factory or dealership.

The OPS-1 is an on-board oil refiner system that can be easily mounted on a range of vehicle and industrial engines. By removing the solid and liquid contaminants from engine oil, the OPS-1 virtually eliminates the need for oil changes.
