A 60-million-gallon biodiesel plant is slated to open next year in Algona IA as part of a project by Renewable Energy Group Inc and East Fork Biodiesel, according to information from Renewable Energy Group.

A 60-million-gallon biodiesel plant is slated to open next year in Algona IA as part of a project by Renewable Energy Group Inc and East Fork Biodiesel, according to information from Renewable Energy Group.

The $70-million plant will use soybean oil as its primary feedstock and will include a a pre-treatment area for other types of feedstock, including animal fats or other oils.
