The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) will hold its seventh annual Operations & Maintenance Seminar at the Hyatt Regency San Diego (CA).

The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) will hold its seventh annual Operations & Maintenance Seminar at the Hyatt Regency San Diego (CA). Set for Aug 26-28, 2001, the seminar is being held in cooperation with the American Association of Port Authority (AAPA) Port Operations and Safety Seminar and the Asociacion Mexicana del Transporte Intermodal.

This seminar examines issues across all segments of intermodalism and is designed for managers who address these areas. It provides a platform for discussing operating and maintenance challenges, as well as exploring solutions for improving intermodal transportation efficiencies.

Topics to be addressed include: Technological Advancements in Component Product Design; Disaster Recovery-Operating Contingency Plans; Updates on Roadability; Chassis Problems and Possible Solutions for the North American Intermodal Industry; and New Developments In Operations and Maintenance. Other activities include a tour of the Port of San Diego and a cross-border tour.
