The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) and the Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) have released a Spanish language version of the intermodal equipment inspection video, Best Practices for Inspecting Intermodal Equipment.

The video is for Spanish speaking drivers, mechanics, and other intermodal transportation professionals responsible for inspecting various types of intermodal equipment. It addresses key equipment roadability issues by highlighting industry-recommended inspection techniques, as well as safety aspects to be considered during the inspection process; a suggested seven-point inspection procedure; and damage assessment and notation practices. A general overview of the suggested walk-around inspection process is also emphasized.

Jointly produced under the leadership of IANA's Maintenance and Repair Committee, in association with the IICL and a joint task force comprised of cross-functional industry representatives, the video is available to the public for $79.95 and to IANA and IICL members for $59.95. It can be purchased directly from IANA by calling 301-982-3400, extension 10, or by clicking here for the IANA Web site at intermodal.org
