Hendrickson International Corp has broken ground on a $24.3-million manufacturing plant in Somerset KY where the facility will produce trailer axles and air suspensions for the heavy-duty transportation industry.

Expected to open in the summer of 2007 and bring 120 new jobs, the plant will occupy a 160,000 square-foot facility on 19 acres. The plant will be Hendrickson’s second facility in Kentucky. In 1998, Hendrickson truck suspension systems opened a plant in Lebanon.
