What’s the best way to understand how something works? According to John McCalmont, it’s to slice it in half.

McCalmont is the host of the highly rated series on The History Channel called, “SLICED,” in which he and co-host, Budd Kelley, use a variety of incredible tools to literally slice objects apart, layer by layer, and explore their inner workings. From the macro to the micro, SLICED unveils the secret functions of the most complex machines, fastest engines, and biggest structures to reveal the mysteries of how these objects work by looking at them in a whole new way.

The series takes an inside look at the tank trailer industry this season when McCalmont and Kelley attempt to slice apart a Heil petroleum trailer. Providing the petroleum trailer for the slice was a joint effort between Heil Trailer International, and its supporting vendors: Hendrickson, Haldex, Alcan Rolled Products, O'Neal Steel, Alcoa Wheel, Ryerson, and Civacon.

The episode of SLICED featuring the Heil petroleum trailer will air on The History Channel on Saturday, October 2nd at 830 AM Eastern/7:30 AM Central. Watch your local listings to confirm the date and time in your area, or visit http://www.heiltrailer.com for more information.
