The Gates Rubber Co has expanded its line of Master-Flex PVC and thermoplastic transfer hoses. Fourteen hoses are available for chemical spray, water suction/discharge, food, material spray, handling, and petroleum transfer applications.

Four new hoses have been added. Master-Flex Fuel Delivery hose is lightweight and flexible to temperatures of 30° F. The cover has a spiraled yellow helix for abrasion resistance and easy handling. Gates Master-Flex Vapor Recovery hose has a clear polyurethane tube that resists chemical vapors. It also is recommended for ducting and abrasive material applications.

Master-Flex 202SW is designed for pneumatic conveying of solids such as powders, plastic pellets, or granular materials. The non-toxic PVC tube is suitable for foodgrade suction applications, and meets FDA and USDA requirements.

For transferring compressed liquids and air, Gates developed its Tufflex Food hose. It can be used in food processing operations, and conforms to USDA meat and poultry plant standards.

Product upgrades have been made to Master-Flex 300 EPDM suction hose (continuous rubber tube), Master-Flex 200CL food handling hose (clear helix), and Thermo-Ag 570 and 800 chemical spray hoses (high-visibility covers).
