ARCHIE Manning, former star quarterback with the New Orleans Saints, will be the keynote speaker for the Independent Liquid Terminals Association 26th

ARCHIE Manning, former star quarterback with the New Orleans Saints, will be the keynote speaker for the Independent Liquid Terminals Association 26th annual International Operating Conference and Trade Show scheduled June 5-7 in Houston, Texas.

As the quarterback for Ole Miss from 1968 through 1970, Manning became one of the legends of college football. In 1971, he was the second player chosen in the National Football League draft as the number one draft choice of the New Orleans Saints. He set Saints passing records, played in two Pro Bowls and was named the NFL Most Valuable Player in 1978. He concluded his 15-year career in 1985. Manning will deliver his speech, Principles for Success, at the luncheon Tuesday, June 6. He will discuss four principles that lead organizations and individuals to success: developing an attitude of leadership; depending on others; being flexible; and playing the game.

He will outline what kinds of strategies produce results and what kinds of behaviors support those strategies. With his diverse and accomplished background, Manning is a highly regarded professional speaker who educates and entertains his audience.

Roundtable discussion

Other program highlights include a presentation by Rear Admiral Robert Duncan, US Coast Guard, who will discuss response to Hurricane Katrina. A roundtable on that subject will include Dan Cousins, general manager of Stolthaven, New Orleans; John Little, terminals operation director, IMTT; Raymond Butler, executive director, Gulf Intracoastal Canal Association; and Shaw Thompson, president, Oil Mop.

Duncan's presentation is scheduled June 5, 8:30-9:30 am, followed at 3:45-5 pm for the roundtable discussion.
