FMCSA extends fuel emergency declaration

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has extended its regional emergency declaration to October 5, 2005, for carriers and drivers hauling gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, propane, natural gas/compressed natural gas, and ethanol. Carriers hauling these products to and from the Eastern Region are exempt from 49 CFR Parts 390-399.

Carriers hauling these products to and from the Eastern Region are exempt from 49 CFR Parts 390-399.

Carriers and drivers are not exempt from drug and alcohol testing requirements and CDL licensing requirements. All drivers and motor carriers operating under this exemption must have a copy of the newly-revised declaration in their possession.
