Bulkmatic Transport Co has announced the winners of its Million Mile Award, given to drivers who have logged 10 consecutive years with no preventable accidents. Winners are Paul Fedorchak of Pittsburgh PA, Ed Ide of Doraville GA, Paul Lashaway of Dowagiac MI, Earl McKinney of Williamsport PA, Karl Neudel of Buffalo NY, John Ross of Willis MI, and Thomas Stein of Columbus OH. Charles Pounds has been selected as Liquid Transport Corp's 2004 Driver of the Year. A company driver domiciled at Lafayette IN, he lives in Terre Haute IN. Previously LTC Driver of the Month, Pounds, his guest, his terminal manager, his regional operations manager, his regional safety manager, and LTC's senior management team will attend a recognition dinner in early 2005 near corporate headquarters in Indianapolis IN.

Cryogenic Transportation (CTI) has named Michael Abercrombie as national safety director. He joined CTI from United Petroleum, where he was vice-president of risk management. Peter Schoenfeld has been named manager of CTI's largest terminal in Baytown TX. He came to the company from Logistics Express, where he was regional manager at its Pasadena TX facility.
