Ventura Transfer Co has promoted Mike Cavanagh to operations manager at the company's Long Beach CA headquarters. He previously was at HNI Corp for 18 years and served as vice-president and general manager.
James E Tatum, a driver trainer for Distribution Technologies Inc (DistTech), was recently honored by the Ohio Trucking Association (OTA) as a Driver of the Month for 2004. He was one of 12 drivers chosen for the Driver of the Month honor based on such criteria as safety record, years of service, and community contributions. A professional truck driver for 31 years, Tatum has accumulated nearly four million accident-free miles.
