Distribution Technologies Inc (Dist-Tech) has appointed Robin Hacke director of operations for the Southeast, responsible for all terminal operations at DistTech's six facilities in Georgia and Texas. He is based in Reynolds GA. Most recently, he was logistics manager for the Reynolds terminal.
Todd Barbour has joined Liquid Transport Corp as terminal manager of its Granite City IL facility. Before joining LTC, he was an operations manager for Quality Carriers for three years.
Carl Thederahn, a driver for Okla-homa Tank Lines/United Petro-leum Transports (OTL/UPT), is the recipient of the 2004 Oklahoma Professional Driver of the Year award. The award was given March 10 at the Oklahoma Trucking Association (OTA) annual Fleet Safety Awards Banquet. An OTL/UPT driver for 10 years, Thederahn has driven 1,900,000 miles without an accident. In 2002, he was named OTL/UPT Professional Driver of the Year.
Rush Logistics has announced that Al Carlson has been hired as senior account representative, and Ralph Iacobelli has been named general manager. Both bring extensive transportation backgrounds in the chemicals and plastics industries.
Bob Silverman has been named vice-president of sales in the Southwest for Ruan Transportation. A 20-year transportation veteran, he spent 20 years with Ryder and 10 years in logistics.
