Jacob Stolt-Nielsen, founder of the Stolt-Nielsen Transportation Group Ltd (SNTG), plans to resign as its chairman. He remains chairman of Stolt-Nielsen SA (SNSA), Stolt Offshore SA, and Stolt Sea Farm Holdings plc. The SNSA board of directors has appointed Samuel Cooperman the new chairman of SNTG, reporting to Niels Gregers Stolt-Nielsen, chief executive officer of SNSA. Cooperman will remain chairman and CEO of Optimum Logistics Ltd and chairman of SeaSupplier Ltd. Reginald J R Lee, acting CEO of SNTG, was promoted to CEO.
Linden Bulk Transportation Co Inc has hired Cindy Miller Reaves as general manager — national accounts, Gulf Coast Region. Reaves, who will be based in the Houston TX area, most recently was director of sales — Southwest for Liquid Transport.
