Groendyke Transport Inc has announced the September 1, 2012, retirement of Gene Brown, executive vice-president. With a career at Groendyke spanning more than 57 years, he has worked in all facets of the company. Brown also owns and operates a Borger TX terminal, and Groendyke will purchase the equipment and property, making the Borger operation a company-owned terminal.

Atlas Oil has named Daniel Ravid chief administrative officer and vice-president of finance. Ravid came to Atlas in March 2012 in an interim role and has 22 years of experience in business management and financial consulting. He previously was managing director, corporate finance at FTI Consulting. Atlas has named James Fiene executive vice-president of retail operations, responsible for retail sales and operations for nearly 400 sites in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. He comes to the firm from Open Pantry, where he served as chief operating officer since 2003.
